The Conference will take place on the premises of the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece and will last from 26 until 30 June 2002. During these five days various topics will be discussed, among which are the following: History of greek (and not only greek) printing, issues on the theory of typography, publishing and modern technologies, design & new media, bibliography, University printing and publishing, typographic education, calligraphy, writing and type design, etc. 

Apart from the speeches, exhibitions and workshops relevant to the topic are also to take place (font design, lithography, digital innovations etc).
The aim of the Conference is to cover as many aspects related to typography and visual communication as possible, bringing together people from various fields and countries.
