The Conference Exhibition
This time the Conferene Exhibition will take place at the Old Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki (Geni Tzami). The Conference Organizing Committee has planned two exhibitions: a) in collaboration with the Design Museum of Thessaloniki a “Alan Fletcher” poster exhibition will be staged on the ground floor of Geni Tzami; b) in collaboration with Intercollege, Cyprus, and Dr Andreas Sophocleous, Cypriot newspapers and old photographs about the Olympic Games of 1896 and 1906 will be hosted on the first floor of the Museum.

Design Agon
Within the framework of the '2nd International Conference on Typography and Visual Communication', a design competition will be held with the conference theme, ie: 'Communication & New Technologies'. 

Each participant is free to submit one project. All projects must arrive by the 5th of June 2004 in order to be sorted out and displayed. Six (6) projects will be chosen by the Conference speakers and the results will be announced at the final ceremony. There are no limits in materials (paper, fabric, plastic etc) nor in tools employed (hand, pc etc). The only restriction is about size: works should not be larger than 500x700mm.

Company exhibition
Within the premises of the University of Macedonia Sports Hall, conference participants and visitors will have the opportunity to get information about companies and products, which will be hosted in specially constructed stands and info-desks.

Gala Dinner
A gala dinner, to be held in June 29 will conclude the Conference meeting. All participants will have the opportunity to meet outside the Conference areas, exchange views and discuss with each other.

Entrance: 25 € (incl. 3 courses buffet, unlimited wine and beer)

The Thessaloniki art & history tour
On Sunday, 27 June, we will visit the basilica of St. Dimitrios and the crypt, which is situated below the church. Then we will make a stop at the Arch of Galerious (Kamara) and after that a short walk will lead us to the Rotunda. Our visit to the Thessaloniki Byzantine Museum will be followed by a relaxed lunch at a traditional Greek taverna. For the afternoon, the Conference Organizing Committee has arranged a view of the Kostakis Collection (Russian avant-garde) at the State Museum of Contemporary Art (Moni Lazariston).
The cost is 45.00 euros per person (plus 10.00 euros for each accompanying person) and includes lunch and entrance fees to museums and archaeological sites.
