A team of printers from various Northern Greek cities (Giorgos Grigoriadis [Kilkis], Κostas Tenedios [Naousa], Sotiris Sioutzioukis [Κozani]), Klimis Mastoridis, and, occasionally, Τasos Politis, will be there to discuss with participants all about reproduction techniques and printing methods. Different kinds of papers, inks, letterpress, flexo, screen printing, gravure, offset-litho, pros and cons, digital vs conventional printing, a little bit of history, lesser theory, and as much hands-on time as possible (with plates, metal types, and a small platen press, which will be transported here just for the workshop), will drive us through a creative and enjoyable two-day session. Great warmup for the conference!
